Settled In

My second week at Malmo International School was a blast! I am learning a lot, growing as a teacher, and really enjoying getting to know my students and cooperating teacher.

This week the school celebrated 1960’s day, where the students dressed up in 1960’s fashion and had the opportunity to put on a “fashion show” in front of the entire students body. Pictured here are two of my 5thgrade students walking the “run way” during the fashion show!

The students have been researching events and important people from the 1960’s for a few weeks now. Some examples of topics that the students have been researching are people and events such as Martin Luther King Jr., President John F. Kennedy and his assassination, and the Vietnam War. On 1960’s Day at school, the students presented their research to the class. Pictured here is one of my students presenting his research of the Vietnam War to his fellow classmates.
